[Settings](https://service.netpresenter.com/support/settings?hsLang=en) # Content Hub Settings - Alert Colors The **Alert Colors** page (**Settings → Alert Colors**) defines the palette of colors available when creating Alerts. Each Alert is assigned one color to visually signal its urgency or category — for example, red for emergencies and yellow for cautions. Four colors ship by default (Caution, Emergency, Informational, Test); you can add custom colors, rename existing ones, or delete colors that are no longer needed. ### Prerequisites - **Account Type:** System Administrator. - Hex color values for any custom colors you plan to add. Use your organization's brand or safety-color guidelines as the source. ### Procedure #### Step 1 — Open Alert Colors In the Settings left navigation, select **Alert Colors**. ![](https://service.netpresenter.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jul-10-2026-07-56-54-2996-AM.png?width=249&height=327&name=image-png-Jul-10-2026-07-56-54-2996-AM.png) The **Colors** list opens. Each row shows a color swatch square and the color's **Name**. Select **Add new** in the top-right. 2. The **Add New Color** form opens. Enter a **Name** — this is the label Creators see when selecting a color for their Alert (e.g., `Warning`, `High Priority`). 3. In the **Color** field, type the hex value (e.g., `#FF6600`) or select the color swatch to open the color picker. The swatch updates in real time as you type. 4. Use clear, consistent names that reflect your organization's alert-level conventions. Avoid generic names like "Color 1." #### Step 3 — Edit an existing Alert Color Select a color's name in the list (or hover the row and select the **Edit** icon) to open the **Edit Color** view. Changing the name does not affect existing Alerts — the new name applies only to new Alerts created after the rename. #### Step 4 — Delete an Alert Color Hover over a color row and select the **Delete** icon. > **Important:** Before deleting a color, confirm that no active Alerts are currently using it. Deleting a color that is in use may cause those Alerts to display without a color or fall back to a default. There is no undo. ### Verification After adding or editing a color, return to the **Colors** list and confirm the swatch and name appear correctly.
