Content Hub Settings - Templates
The Templates library controls which Slide, Article Slide, Lock Screen, and Wallpaper templates are available to Publishers when they create content.
From Settings → Appearance → Templates you can enable or disable individual templates, import custom templates, and review each template's metadata, supported content types, and options. With templates available, filtering and bulk management keep the library navigable for your Publishers.
Prerequisites
- Account Type: System Administrator.
- No external system access is required.
Procedure
Step 1 — Open the Templates library
In the Settings left navigation, expand Appearance and select Templates.

The Templates list opens, showing all templates available in your tenant. Each row shows the template Name, its Content Type, and a System Template indicator (✓ = shipped by Netpresenter, — = custom or imported).

Step 2 — Find templates using filters and search
Use the filter bar above the list to narrow the view:
- Content Type — filter by: Article Slides, Slides, Lock Screens, or Wallpapers.
- Template Type — filter by: System (shipped by Netpresenter) or Non system (custom / imported).
- Find a Template — free-text search by template name.
- Sort by — defaults to Used; toggle the sort direction with the arrow icon.
Step 3 — Enable or disable a template
Hover over any template row to reveal two inline actions on the right:
- Disable (toggle icon) — hides the template from Publishers. Select it again to re-enable. Disabling a template does not delete it or affect content already created from it.
- Detail (info icon) — opens the template's detail view (see Step 4).
Important: Disabling a template removes it from the template picker immediately. Publishers mid-session will no longer be able to select it for new content. Existing Slides or Articles built from that template are not affected.
Step 4 — Review or edit a template
Select a template name (or the Detail icon on hover) to open the Edit Template view.

The fields are:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Display name shown in the template picker. |
| Description | Short explanation of the template's purpose and layout. |
| Version | Build version of the template (e.g., 2026002). |
| Template ID | Unique identifier (read-only). Used for support and import/export matching. |
| Supported Content Types | Which content types this template can be used for. Read-only for System Templates. |
| Options | Feature support flags: Ticker, Hyperlink, QR Code (TV), Acknowledgement. ✓ = supported, ✗ = not supported. Read-only. |
| Template Preview | Visual preview of the template layout. |
| Status | Toggle — Enabled for Publishers controls whether the template appears in the picker. |
Select Save changes to apply any status change.
Heads up: For System Templates (✓ in the list), only the Status toggle can be changed. Name, Description, Supported Content Types, and Options are read-only. Custom templates have fully editable fields.
Step 5 — Manage non-system templates
Non-system templates (those with — in the System Template column) have two additional hover actions beyond Disable and Detail:
- Delete — permanently removes the template from the tenant. This cannot be undone.
- Update Template — replaces the template file with a new version while preserving its ID and existing usage references.
Important: Deleting a non-system template is irreversible. Before deleting, confirm no active Slides or Articles rely on it, or export it first.
Step 6 — Import a custom template
To add a template that is not in the Netpresenter system library:
- Select Import in the top-right of the Templates page.
- Choose the template file from your local machine.
- The imported template appears in the list as a non-system template (— in the System Template column).
- Open it via the Detail action, configure its Status, and select Save changes.

Heads up: Netpresenter provides template files for import. Contact your Netpresenter representative or check the support portal for available custom templates and their format requirements.
Step 7 — Bulk-enable or disable multiple templates
To manage multiple templates at once:
- Select the checkboxes on the left of the rows you want to change, or use the header checkbox to select all 20 on the current page.
- The Bulk actions bar appears at the top of the list.
- Choose the desired action (enable or disable) to apply it to all selected templates.
- Repeat on subsequent pages if needed.
Verification
After enabling or disabling a template, verify by signing in as a Publisher (or using a test Publisher account) and opening the template picker in the Slide or Article editor. The affected templates should appear or be absent accordingly.
